We’re moving!

Yes! About an hour ago we bought a house in a small community 40 minutes south of Oslo called Hølen. A fairly large property with lots of sun situated in a small valley. I’ve found workshop space in an old mill about 5 minutes from the house, and during the winter I’ll turn it into a nice place to visit and work. I’ll keep you posted.

Oh, here’s a picture of the house:

Where on earth are you?

A record-breaking 510 visitors to the blog yesterday! Up untill now I’ve been quite firm in my strategy to let this blog be a one-way communication channel. Well, since I’m really curious about where all of you are located I’m opening up for comments. So, feel free to say hi!

Finally! Pt. II

The picture in previous postings did’nt exactly give a good impression of the precision that the Anvil mitering setup gives. This picture is “flashed out” but it illustrates the fit in a better way. Fantastic result! I’m stoked. The only finishing needed on the cuts are to remove the burrs and take down the “ears” of the miter before brazing. Can’t wait to put it to use on the next frame (which most likely will be a lugged roadbike for a good friend – Mini Slant Six lugset and Strawberry wishbone). Time to get to bed up here in the north.

Adios compadres!

Finally!

The holesaw arbors (precision holders) arrived in the mail today, and I went over to test the mitering setup for the first time tonight. It went really well. The holesaws give a perfect fit between the tubes – and thus giving a better end result when brazing/welding the frame. Perfect!

Almost there!

The mitering setup is trammed and ready for use. The holesaws (which will be used to miter or cope the tubes to fit together perfectly) arrived a few days ago as well, so the only thing missing is the holesaw arbors. And they’re in the mail from Mark at Paragon Machineworks just about now. That’s the update for today. Now I got to head back to tend my No-Knead bread which is in the oven. Fantastic bread recipe, btw. Check it out here: http://tinyurl.com/3dnjaa
