Custom framebuilding is more than making a bicycle frame. It’s about providing the rider with the best riding frame and fit possible. It?s about choosing the right materials and geometry that enables the rider to stay in the saddle longer and ride faster with more comfort and confidence.
Lugged (muffer, for those of you speaking Norwegian) or fillet brazing (slaglodding) are the methods of choice. Columbus delivers most of my tubing (apart from suspension corrected and 29er forks where I rely on True Temper). Steel just feels so darn good, and in addition it gives a lot of alternatives in regards to dimensions and qualities to fine-tune how the frame rides. In addition it’s longevity makes it a sensible choice in a world where mass consumption seems to be the norm.
